As owner and operator, he has expanded DMAC as a regional provider serving the Maryland, D.C. and Virginia market, to also include New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina and Georgia, with his expansion efforts now extending to the entire East Coast. He also has fostered a nationwide partner network to satisfy the needs of clients.

Prior to founding DMAC Security, David spent five years as a regional manager for a federal security and protective services contractor, where he managed the security contracts for large commercial/industrial clients, college campuses, and government facilities, including the National Aeronautics & Space Administration’s (NASA’s) Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
David also co-founded Vision Detection Systems, a disruptor in the mobile security solutions arena, in 2022, and today, he leverages the company’s mobile surveillance trailers as part of DMAC’s suite of technology solutions.
He is a member of ASIS International, Maryland Investigators & Security Association (MISA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NIFA).
Larry McGurrin
Director, Business Development & Account Management

Larry McGurrin brings his extensive experience in both federal law enforcement and private sector account management to DMAC as the firm’s director of business development and account management. Larry oversees client solutions and relations and contract performance across all segments of DMAC’s client base, ensuring smooth transitions and a positive experience from start to finish.
He joined DMAC following an 18-year federal government security career, where he served in diverse units focused on behavioral analysis, explosives detection and neutralization, and federal officer and agent training.
Eli Pheterson
Corporate Operations Manager

Eli Pheterson joined DMAC Security in its second year as the Corporate Operations Manager, coming from a Directorship position in a 100+ million-dollar national real estate firm.
As a seasoned business executive with over a decade in director and C-level operations under his belt, Eli specializes in organization-wide growth and system efficiency. His work has produced growth and refined the business operations, compliance, HR, IT, and legal departments of our organization.
Working closely alongside the CEO, on licensing, compliance and all state and federal requirements to expand the companies region into Florida, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.
Eli has extensive background in technology and business software platforms and serves as a high-level Train-the Trainer for all divisions of the organization. He earned his bachelor’s in business from post University (graduating Suma Cum Laude).
Logan Rees, CPP
Southeast Regional Director

Logan Rees brings over two decades of security management experience, specializing in both operations and business development. A veteran manager with some of the largest security providers in the United States, Logan now brings his expertise to the DMAC team.
Based in the Southeast, Logan’s responsibilities include overseeing growth, customer needs and operational facets of the Southeast market, as DMAC expands its operations into new territories.
In 2020, Logan earned the gold standard of security certifications – ASIS International’s Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation. He is a certified instructor in CPR, AED, First Aid and non-violent crisis prevention (CPI). An active ASIS International member, Logan currently serves as the vice chair of the commercial real estate community, and is a two-time former chapter chair, an emeritus professional development community member and mentor to growth-minded security professionals.
His industry memberships include nearly two decades with ASIS International and 15 years with BOMA, where he has volunteered on the TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Community and served as a TOBY judge at the local, regional and international levels. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Brigham Young University – Hawaii.
Dennis O’Connor
Director, National Training and Professional Development

Dennis served six years in the U.S. Army, based at the Aberdeen and Yuma Proving Grounds before deploying to Germany to serve as the protection detail for General James R. Allen, then-deputy commander and chief of the albred forces in Europe.
Following his mibrtary service, Dennis returned to his home state of Delaware where he joined the Wilmington Department of Pobrce. During his tenure with the department, Dennis served in the patrol and mounted divisions, as well as the Drug, Vice and Organized Crime Division, Office of Special Operations, Special Weapons and Tactics, and Community Pobrcing Division.…
While assigned to the Office of Special Operations and Special Weapons and Tactics, he first became involved in leadership training by implementing the department’s first canine unit — supervising and training pobrce canines for the patrol, drugs, explosives and SWAT units.
Dennis also was director of training for the Government Training Institute for over 13 years, where he served as a tactical and firearms instructor to law enforcement and the mibrtary. He has continued that training focus at DMAC, and holds certifications in the following areas:
– Canine Trainer (Patrol, Bomb and Drugs)
– NRA Shotgun Instructor
– NRA Pistol Instructor
– State of Maryland Pistol Instructor
– Instructor in handcuff, baton and chemical spray
– Physical fitness instructor (International Sports Science Association)
– Certified Pobrce Instructor
Dennis also teaches advanced SWAT, Basic Swat, Active Shooter, Rescue Task force, Officer Rescue, Officer Survival and Maritime Operations. Dennis was a finabrst for the 2022 Outstanding Security Training Initiative Award as part of ASIS International’s GSX conference.
